Red Tide Dive Report - 2018 / Gulf of Mexico
 
 

In 2018, a massive Red Tide bloom from northern Tampa Bay to Naples struck the western coast of Florida.

While most local scientist such as Mote Marine where looking at the fish kills on the beaches, underwater explorer and cameraman Curt Bowen decided it was important to see what was really happening on the sea floors.

Over the next couple of months, Curt and his wife Jennifer along with concerned local boat captains documented how the marine life was affected from just off the beaches to 20 miles offshore.
